What's Your Water Footprint

Your individual water footprint is equal to the water required to produce the goods and services consumed by you in and around where you live, work, and play. Your water footprint consists of blue, green, and grey components. These components can be defined as follows:

Blue water footprint
Your blue water footprint comprises surface and ground water used to produce the goods and services consumed by the individual or community.
Green water footprint
Your green water footprint includes rainwater stored in the soil as soil moisture.
Grey water footprint
Your grey water footprint consists of polluted water associated with the production of all goods and services for an individual or community.
